"Where You From Boy?"
I remember reading a book decades ago called The Nine Nations of North America. The book did not predict the end of America so much as point out the obvious. America is rather hopelessly divided into rather obvious sections. This was self-evident to me at the time as I had not too long before moved from California to Missouri. I had been asked by a truck driver rather pointedly, "Where you from, Boy?" I was in northern Arkansas at the time.
With that in mind here is one future map of a possible future US:
The breakup of many countries does seem inevitable. Spain is particularly vulnerable. One thing that is holding back such separatist fervor is the huge debt of these countries, but if that debt ends up repudiated ...
An interesting question that is not particularly important now but may be later is one that you may need to ask yourself.
"Where you from Boy?"
A Nice Rant
This is a nice rant from someone known for rants. If you are wondering where the 70 trillion dollar figure mentioned is from, it is the estimated unfunded liabilities of Medicare, Social Security and the debt added together. (Note that I am not sure that removing money from politics will help. In fact I rather doubt it.)
Is the State a Religion?
Once again, the fact I post something should not imply I agree with a speaker. But I think that in the words of Jesus, "one can not serve two masters" applies here. This was one of my father's favorite sayings. He was about as nonreligious as one could get, but he understood this.
Can we serve the State and God at the same time?
The early Church advocated obedience to the government, but not service to it. There is a difference.
Does your church fly the US Flag? If it does, is the "Christian" Flag lower or higher than the US flag? Or even worse is the flag put on the podium to recieve the proper reverence.
I bet most people have not even thought about these issues.
I suggest you think about them.
The End of America
The title page of this presentation, the end of America, is rather silly. Even though I expect a very tough crisis relatively soon, American will go on, just as Great Britian, Spain and other nations did when thier empire fell. I expect that that minor caveat in mind, I think you will find this video of interest, if you have interest in such things.
