I Don't Get it
I have noticed a certain mindset, particularly in "religious" folk. They come to hate a particular person so much the facts do not matter any more. A good example was Dan Rather's acceptance of a forgery that condemned George Bush as a "draft dodger" by using his father's influence to join the National Guard. My point is not that Bush was innocent or guilty, or good or bad. My point is that the story of the forgery was so weak that only someone who was predisposed to accept the purported evidence would. Rather was blind.
In the same way, the "Obama plays golf" meme makes no sense. Obama could very well be putting in 60 hour weeks, and golfing on the weekends. Why would this be evil on his part? Of course I have no idea what Obama's hours are. Nor am I saying he is an effective or ineffective president. I am losing interest in such matters. I doubt a President Romney would be any better, and in terms of war probably worse. President McCain? God forbid.
So in this spirit I offer the following Alex Jones video. Only someone blinded by hate could seriously offer this as even a possibility. Jones is blind.
Why are you paying attention to people like Alex Jones, or Dan Rather? Why are you paying attention to whatever guru is your favorite?
If the blind lead the blind, they both fall in a ditch.

Yes but the allegation that Bush was a draft dodger was based on multiple sources of evidence. And he still stands behind it. If you read his book he makes a good case that Bush was unreliable went AWOL and went through a time in his life when he was rough patch in which powerful people covered for him. Bush is not the exception though, I think thats really standard operating procedure for the power elite. We can debate whether it really happened or not and Rather's credibility but what's not debatable is that Jones is a wingnut. Thanks for your post.
Newt Gingrich is far more concerned about what President Obama does when he's not golfing.
